Documents required for MERP:

  1. Sponsor’s ID card (KTP) and their family card;
  2. For sponsors who are Indonesian spouses, attach the marriage certificate, sponsor’s ID card, and family card;
  3. Original passport;
  4. Copy of KITAP;
  5. Foreigner’s ID card (KTP) and family card (KK) from Disdukcapil (Department of Population and Civil Registration);
  6. For foreign workers in top management positions, include a copy of the latest IMTA and RPTKA, along with company documents;
  7. For foreign investors (PMA), attach the latest IMTA, RPTKA, recommendation letter from BKPM, and company documents;
  8. For Indonesian parents sponsoring, include the applicant’s birth certificate and the parents’ marriage certificate.

  • The Multiple Re-Entry Permit (MREP) is a written authorization allowing citizens to legally exit and re-enter the territory of the Republic of Indonesia. It can be extended for 2 years.

Multiple Re-Entry Permit for 2 years (MERP)

  • This permit for multiple re-entries is valid for 2 years.

Required documents to obtain a new MREP:

  • Original documents: passport, KITAP, KTP of sponsor

Key Information About the Multiple Exit Re-Entry Permit (MREP)

  1. Renewal: No renewal is needed if you don’t plan to leave Indonesia. You can stay without an MREP as long as you don’t exit.
  2. Travel Necessity: An active MREP is essential for exiting and re-entering Indonesia. Without it, you will lose your KITAP.
  3. Emergency Preparedness: Keep an active MREP for emergencies, like visiting family for weddings or health issues.
  4. Activation: A new MREP takes effect from the application date and cancels any existing MREP that hasn’t expired.

  • The processing time for MREP is 3-5 working days from the date of payment
