Working KITAS allows you to officially work in Indonesia. You look for your employer on your own. It can be an Indonesian company or a foreign invested company PT PMA. The company in which the foreigner will work is subject to a minimum number of Indonesian employees.

Who needs a Working KITAS?

For job seekers who want to officially work and receive money in Indonesia. However, you can only work in one position and only in one company.

Sometimes, PT PMA directors also want to have a work position if they need to do management and not just appoint employees (which is the director’s sole function initially).

Features of Working KITAS

A work permit is issued for 6, 12 or 24 months with the possibility of extension. Working KITAS is a multiple entry visa.

• Valid Passport at least 6 months;
• Latest color photograph;
• Email Address, Phone Number, Address in Bali/Jakarta, Area of Work, and Occupation;
• Statement of commitment that must be accomplished within 90 days after the date of arrival, such as: Notification from Ministry of Manpower, or Statement of any government agencies, if the foreigner are guaranteed by the agency.

• Scan of Mandatory Manpower Report (WL) Wajib Lapor (Color);
• Scan of AKTA, SK Menteri, Izin Usaha, NIB, NPWP, SKTU Company (Color);
• Scan Director’s ID or KTP (Color);
• Scan ID of Employee and Photo with Red Background (Color);
• Blank Letterhead Company (Including Emails, Address, and Phone Number);
• Company Stamp.

Steps to get Working KITAS Offshore:

• Send us all the required documents, our visa agency will issue the e-visa VITAS through the Jakarta General Immigration Office;
• You will get visa to come Indonesia with Working purpose;
• After arriving in Indonesia, you need to exchange VITAS for KITAS within 30 days. Recently, this procedure takes place at the airport immediately upon arrival in the country. Watch the video instruction: follow the ITAS Online sign to the ITAS Online Counter, present VITAS and your passport, you are photographed, fingerprinted, an ITAS sticker is pasted into your passport, later KITAS will come to your e-mail.
• With offshore processes, you don’t need to visit the Local Immigration Office.

• Need to obtain Recommendation Letter of RPTKA (Valid for as long as Working Contract still Valid), IMTA (6 months/1 year Validity), DPKK;
• Sponsor and Guarantee Letter;
• Copy of Insurance (Color);
• Bachelor Degree Certificate written in English (Legalized);
• Reference Letter with previous working minimum 5 years or Certificate Specialist of Occupation;
• Bank Statement of Applicant (USD 2000);
• Original Domicile Letter from Banjar or SKTT (Proof of Residence);
• Detail Information of Foreigner: Email Address, Phone Number, Address in Bali/Jakarta, Area of Work, and Occupation.

Required Documents (from Employer/Company):

• Scan of Mandatory Manpower Report (WL) Wajib Lapor (Color);

Steps to get Working KITAS Onshore:

• Submit all the requirement documents and register your Working Permit in Local Immigration Office;
• Visa Conversion (From previous ITK to KITAS). Bring your passport and all the copies of the required documents to our Office. We will process them to the Local Immigration Office and obtain re-entry permit KITAS. This process takes about 4-6 weeks;
• You will be needed to attend for Biometric (Photo and Fingerprint) in Immigration during this process;
• You will receive your Passport back and KITAS permit.

Process duration

• Onshore KITAS/Conversion from ITK (B211A) to KITAS process will take approximately 4-6 weeks.
