Current Entry Requirements (2026 Update)
Navigating Indonesian immigration can feel overwhelming, but we are here to make it transparent. As of early 2026, here is the state of travel to Indonesia:
- Visa on Arrival (VOA): Available at major airports (Bali DPS, Jakarta CGK, etc.) for citizens of over 97 countries. This visa allows a total stay of 60 days (30 initial + 30-day extension). Check the full list of eligible VOA countries.
- e-VOA (B1): You can skip the payment queue at the airport by applying for your e-VOA online before you fly via Fast Visa Application Portal (24/7). It is identical to the VOA but much faster during arrival.
- Pre-Arranged Visas (C1 & C2): For those planning to stay longer than 60 days, the C1 Tourist Visa (formerly 211A) and C2 Business Visa remain the gold standard. These allow for a total stay of up to 180 days. Every visa requires an Indonesian sponsor PT FLADO INDONESIA UTAMA is a fully licensed agent and can act as your official guarantor.

Stay in Indonesia for up to 180 Days
If you are a digital nomad, a long-term traveler, or looking for a “winter home,” the C1 visa process is your best route:
- Initial Stay: The e-Visa is issued for 60 days.
- Extensions: You can extend this visa twice, with each extension granting an additional 60 days.
- Visa Runs: After your 180 days are up, you can simply perform a “visa run” (exit and re-enter): apply for a new offshore visa to start the cycle again and come back Indonesia.
- Entry Type: The C1 is a Single Entry permit. If you need to leave and re-enter multiple times, check our Multiple Entry D1 Visa options.
Conversion: From C1 Tourist to KITAS (Residency)
Want to move to Indonesia permanently? You can convert your C1 visa into a KITAS (Residence Permit) without leaving the country. If your current visa has less than 30 days remaining, we can assist with a 60-day Bridging Visa to keep your status legal during the transition.
Required Documents for Submission
We aim for a “zero-stress” application process. To get started, we only need:
- Passport Bio Page: A high-quality photo. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry. You can see an example here.
- Personal Photo: A selfie photo is ok follow document standards. You can see an example here.
- Sponsorship: Our company handles all sponsorship and guarantee letters, ensuring your application meets all legal requirements.
Frequently Asked Questions (Bank Statements, Insurance, Tickets)
- Travel Insurance: Not strictly mandatory, but highly recommended. Medical costs in Bali for foreigners can be astronomical. We recommend SafetyWing Nomad Insurance for its flexibility.
- Return Tickets: Immigration requires proof of onward travel. If you don’t have a fixed plan, you can use a verified flight reservation (onward ticket) to satisfy the requirement.
- Bank Statements: Most applicants do not need to provide a bank statement with 2.000 USD. We only request this in very specific, rare cases.
