E-VISA SIMPLIFIES INDONESIA VISA APPLICATION PROCESS
The electronic visa (e-Visa) application system was launched on October 27, 2020 by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia. An e-visa makes it easier for foreign tourists to obtain a visa, wherever they are. There are currently 2 types of e-visas:
- ONSHORE: Foreigners are already in Indonesia (officially removed on June 27, 2023).
- OFFSHORE: Foreigners are abroad and will enter Indonesia.
Visa with index 211A (ex B211A) is intended for tourist and/or business trips. The period of stay on a visa, subject to possible extensions, is up to 180 days. Starting June 27, 2023, if your OFFSHORE visa expires, you can apply only for a new OFFSHORE visa and make “visa runs” to the nearest country.

HOW TO APPLY FOR A VISA TO INDONESIA
- the visa application is submitted by a sponsoring company with a travel agency license in Indonesia; some types of visas can be sponsored by the citizens of the country;
- the sponsor fills out the required documents and submits a letter for obtaining an e-visa to the General Directorate of Immigration of Indonesia;
- if approved, the e-visa is sent to the email address of the sponsor and the applicant;
- e-visa can be used immediately for travel: foreigners do not need to visit the Indonesian embassy to apply or stamp the visa in their passport.
