E-VISA SIMPLIFIES INDONESIA VISA APPLICATION PROCESS
The electronic visa (e-Visa) application system was launched on October 27, 2020 by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia. An e-visa makes it easier for foreign tourists to obtain a visa, wherever they are. There are currently 2 types of e-visas:
- ONSHORE: Foreigners are already in Indonesia.
- OFFSHORE: Foreigners are abroad and will enter Indonesia.
Both categories of visas have the index B211A and are intended for tourist and/or business trips. Length of stay on visas, subject to possible extension up to 180 days. After the end of the OFFSHORE visa, without leaving the country, you can apply for an OFFSHORE visa.

- the sponsor fills out the required documents and submits a letter for obtaining an e-visa to the General Directorate of Immigration of Indonesia;
- if approved, the e-visa is sent to the email address of the sponsor and the applicant;
- e-visa can be used immediately for travel: foreigners do not need to visit the Indonesian embassy to apply or stamp the visa in their passport.
