Offshore vs. Onshore: What is the Difference?
Offshore: Applied for in advance. We recommend the C1 (60 days) or D1 (Multiple Entry) visas, which can be extended for up to 180 days. This is the best choice for long-term stays without unnecessary immigration visits—more time for vacation, less for paperwork.
According to current statistics, citizens of Australia, China, India, South Korea, the USA, UK, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan are among the top visitors and are eligible for the e-VOA (B1) for 30 days. This is an excellent option for short holidays. However, for longer stays or remote work, it is more convenient to use the C1 visa (formerly 211A), D1 Multiple Entry (formerly D212), or the Remote Worker Residence Permit E33G (Nomad KITAS). These offer flexible extension terms and prevent the need for frequent “Visa Runs”.
Important Notice: Сitizens of nations such as Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Moldova are currently not on the VOA list. Travelers from these countries must apply for a C1 or D1 visa offshore before their arrival in Indonesia.

They provided very clear instructions, required only a few documents (a copy of the passport, vaccination card and photographs) and offered attractive timing - visa on the 5th day. I sent the documents on Tuesday night and next Tuesday morning I had a visa in my inbox. Very happy with the service, they quickly replied to my questions and I could see my application number on the government web page, which was reassuring. Definitely recommend.
