What is a Visa on Arrival (VOA)?
Citizens of over 97 countries can enter Indonesia for tourism or business meetings using a Visa on Arrival (VOA). In 2026, the most efficient way to obtain this is the e-VOA (B1), which is processed online before you land.
- Cost: 500,000 IDR (approx. $35 USD).
- Duration: 30 days.
- Extension: Can be extended once for an additional 30 days (total 60 days).
- Entry Points: Valid for Bali (DPS), Jakarta (CGK), and other major international airports.
Your 2026 Arrival Checklist
- Apply for e-VOA: Use the Flado Portal to get your visa in advance and use the Autogates at the airport for 30-second immigration clearance.
- Customs Declaration: Fill out your Electronic Customs Declaration within 3 days of arrival.
- Onward Ticket: You must have a ticket departing Indonesia within 30 days of arrival.
- Bali Tourist Levy: If flying to Bali, pay the mandatory 150,000 IDR Tourist Levy online.
How to Extend Your Stay
If you enter on a VOA, you can extend your stay for another 30 days. If you applied for an e-VOA through Flado, the extension application is handled entirely online. If you bought a physical sticker at the airport, the extension process will also be initiated online.
Note: In both cases, you will still need to visit the immigration office once for biometrics (fingerprints and photo). Even with an e-VOA and the use of Autogates, immigration currently requires a one-time biometric session for the extension of your stay.
Planning to stay longer than 60 days? We recommend the C1 Tourist Visa. It is issued for 60 days and can be extended twice, allowing you to stay for 180 days total without leaving the country.
