Benefits of the Second Home Visa (E33)

With a Second Home Visa, you can also sponsor family members (spouse, children, parents, siblings) to obtain the Second Home Family ITAS Visa (E31B/E31E/E31H/E31J), which is valid for the same period as your visa.

Requirements for the Second Home Visa

To apply for a Second Home Visa, applicants must be over 19 years of age and meet certain financial criteria. The required documents include:

  1. A passport valid for at least 36 months.
  2. A statement of intent to meet financial requirements within 90 days of arrival, provided through one of the following methods:
    • Opening a bank account at an Indonesian state bank (BNI, BRI, Mandiri) with a minimum deposit of IDR 2 billion (approx. USD 130,000), or
    • Proof of ownership of luxury real estate in Indonesia valued at no less than USD 1 million for at least 5 years.

Important: These financial requirements must be maintained throughout the visa’s duration. Bank balance or property ownership may be periodically verified by immigration authorities.

Failure to meet financial conditions within the set time frame will result in visa cancellation, and the applicant will need to leave Indonesia within 7 days.

If the property lease agreement (Hak Pakai) exceeds 10 years, the foreign national is eligible for a 10-year Second Home Visa. Rental agreements are not accepted.

How to Apply for the Second Home Visa

  1. Receive an electronic visa: Once all necessary documents are submitted, you will receive your e-visa within 5–10 working days.
  2. Arrival in Indonesia: Upon arrival, immigration officials will place an ITAS sticker in your passport, and you will receive an e-ITAS via email.
  3. Provide financial or property evidence: Within 90 days, you must submit proof of a bank deposit of IDR 2 billion or ownership of luxury property in Indonesia.

Applying for Family Members’ Visas

Once the primary Second Home Visa is granted, you can apply for dependent family members’ visas (Second Home Family Visa). You’ll need to provide birth certificates, marriage certificates, or other relevant documentation. If these documents are not in Indonesian or English, they must be translated.
