A Schengen visa is an entry permit for non-EU nationals to make a short, temporary visit of up to 90 days in any 180-day period to a country in the Schengen area.

Required documents to obtain a Schengen visa in Bali/Jakarta, Indonesia:

1. Passport

Original + Softcopy + Photocopy (2 copies) of all passport pages (passport validity period must be more than 6 months from the date of arrival)

*(Need to attach a name change letter if the passport name is different from the name on the identity card)

2. Identity Card (KTP for Indonesian citizens, or KITAS/KITAP for foreigners)

3. Family Card

4. Birth Certificate

5. Marriage Certificate

Original + Softcopy + Photocopy (2 copies)

*Must be attached if sponsored by spouse.

6. Photo
  • A total of 4 pieces
  • White background as visa photo requirements
  • Photo size 3.5 x 4.5 cm
  • Face 70-80% of the photo – Photo looking directly at the camera
  • Must be clearly visible ears and eyebrows

(If the photo format is not correct, you must pay an additional fee of approximately 75,000 for re-photographing during biometrics)

7. Bank Statement
  • Issued by the relevant bank with a bank stamp and printed for the last 3 months with active transactions. Printed 2 days before biometric. (Cannot be printed from Internet Banking)
  • with Total minimum balance = Rp. 100,000,000 (for 1 person)
  • Please attach 1 photocopies.

(If the balance has not reached 100 million, please enter money periodically little by little, not immediately with a large amount until the day you print it)

8. Reference Bank
  • Can be requested at the Bank, including the total account balance and a statement that the account is active and states that it will travel for Visa purposes.
  • Request 2 days before biometric so that the balance amount is the same as the bank statement
  • Please attach 1 photocopies

9. Statement Letter of Current Situation / Letter of Sponsorship (Certificate of Employment / Business) (in English)
  • Self-sponsorship letter (provided by the agency) Original + Copy (1 sheet)
  • Sponsorship letter from the company + NIB + NPWP + SIUP (sponsorship letter must be issued by the company) Original + Copy (1 sheet / 1 copy) If you have your own business and there is no company letterhead, the letter is typed on plain white paper with a shop stamp.   • If sponsored by a son-in-law, attach a photocopy of the child’s marriage certificate and birth certificate that can prove the relationship.
  • If the status is retired, the letter is typed on plain white paper and signed by yourself.
  • If you are an employee, you must attach a sponsorship letter from the office. (Format reference will be provided)

APPLYING FOR A STUDENT VISA TO FRANCE IN INDONESIA, JAKARTA

Student visas in France are for applicants who have an acceptance letter for Bachelor’s programs and French Language Courses.

Processing Time

The earliest registration is 6 months before you intend to travel. You should apply at least 1-3 months before the course start date. Processing time is 14 days – 3 months. After applying for a visa, you cannot take your passport home while your visa application is being processed.

Visa Validity Period

Depending on your destination, after submitting your application, the Embassy will decide how long you will get to stay in the country depending on your Letter of Acceptance.

18. EEF Proof of Payment (Campus France)

Applicants must have a phase 1 interview with Campus France in order to obtain an EEF ID to proceed to the next phase.

19. Proof of tuition payment (if applicable):

Applicants are required to provide proof of confirmation of payment from the university of the tuition fees paid for the first year of study, if the Bachelor’s or Master’s studies are not at a German public university. Regular semester contributions to German public universities do not need to be proven.

20. Statement Letter / Certificate from Language Institute

If you are enrolled in a language institute, you can attach a certificate of attending a course at the language institute.

21. Language Certificate
  • Proof of proficiency in French, DELF Certificat (at least B1 or higher, depending on your university). Please refer to the Embassy website for accepted language certificates.

APPLYING FOR A STUDENT VISA TO GERMANY IN INDONESIA, JAKARTA

Student visas are for applicants who hold an acceptance letter for a Studienkolleg, Bachelor’s, or Master’s Program. It is also possible for applicants holding an Invitation to take exams at a Studienkolleg, and language courses.
