Starting from December 2025, the Directorate General of Immigration of Indonesia has enabled the issuance of Dependent KITAS for family members of holders of the Remote Worker Visa E33G (Nomad KITAS).
This means that spouses, children, parents, and siblings can legally reside in Indonesia together with the main E33G holder by obtaining their own KITAS.

- E31B – Spouse KITAS
- E31E – Child KITAS

All dependants can be submitted only after the main E33G KITAS has been issued.

Validity of KITAS for the E33G Category
Maximum validity is 1 year
Dependent KITAS for E33G is always issued for a maximum of one year. The validity is always limited by the remaining validity of the main E33G KITAS.
Multi-year KITAS (2–5 years) is not available
Nomad KITAS and all dependent categories under E33G are strictly annual permits.
KITAS Renewal Rules
Dependent KITAS and Nomad KITAS follow the same renewal process:
Renewal must be done inside Indonesia
- Renewal must be started while staying in Indonesia
- Begin the process at least 30 days before the KITAS expires
- Leaving Indonesia during the renewal process is not allowed
- Standard renewal time: 3–4 weeks
Cost of renewal
Renewing a KITAS for one additional year costs:
KITAS price + 3,000,000 IDR
KITAS cannot be renewed while abroad
If the KITAS expires while you are outside Indonesia, it will be automatically cancelled. A new offshore visa process will be required to re-enter.
Closing KITAS earlier
If you want to cancel your KITAS before switching to another visa category, you must apply for:
- EPO (Exit Permit Only)
https://flado.id/epo - TSP (Termination of Stay Permit)
https://flado.id/tsp
Offshore Process Only
Nomad KITAS E33G and all dependent categories cannot be issued onshore.
If you are already in Indonesia, you must depart and start the visa process offshore.
Processing times:
- Standard: 5–10 working days
- Express (if available): around 5 working days
Timeline Consideration for Family Applications
Since dependent KITAS applications can only be submitted after the main E33G KITAS is issued:
- Main applicant obtains E33G (5–10 working days, or 5 days express)
- Then dependants are submitted (5–10 working days, or 5 days express)
If you are applying for the entire family in one trip, the total processing time should be doubled:
- Standard: 10–20 working days
- Express (if available for all): around 10 working days
