Overview

The E31C visa allows foreign children of Indonesian citizens (WNI) to live legally in Indonesia.
It can be applied for foreigners of any age, as confirmed by Immigration customer service.
This visa is ideal for those who wish to stay with family, study, or live permanently in Indonesia under the sponsorship of their Indonesian parent.

Sponsor

• The sponsor must be the Indonesian parent (WNI).
• The application must be submitted through the Indonesian parent’s Immigration account.

Required Documents

1. Passport of the foreign applicant
2. Recent photo
3. Family card (Kartu Keluarga) of the Indonesian parent
4. Proof of birth of the foreign child, such as:
   • Birth certificate from a government agency, or
   • Proof of birth reporting at an Indonesian Mission or local Civil Office (if born abroad)
5. Proof of marriage of the parents, such as:
   • Indonesian marriage certificate, or
   • Foreign marriage certificate translated into Indonesian by a sworn translator and reported to Indonesian authorities

Duration and Cost

• 1 year stay permit – IDR 10,200,000
• 2 year stay permit – IDR 13,450,000

Important Note

This means adult children (over 18 years old) of Indonesian citizens can also apply for E31C, as long as they can prove their parental link and the Indonesian citizenship of their sponsor.
