Some countries can obtain an Electronic Visa to visit Russia

From August 1, 2023, an Electronic Visa to Russia is available for a period of 16 days.

An e-Visa to Russia can only be obtained for 56 countries: Andorra, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cambodia, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Japan, The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Kuwait, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Myanmar, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Oman, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, China, Turkey, Vatican, Vietnam.

Application can be submitted through our agency 1.400.000 IDR ~ 88 USD. We need only your photo and scan of the passport. Foreigners are not required to have KITAS/KITAP for this type of application. The Russian e-Visa will be ready within 1-2 working days.

Types of visas for visiting Russia

The simplest visa is eVisa like we already understood but you can take it only for Tourist purpose and only for 16 days for limited number of countries. In all other cases, you need to apply for a single/double/multiple entry tourist/business visa. How to choose the right type of visa to visit Moscow or St. Petersburg?

You need to know that a visa to Russia has a number of entries. Single and double entry visas allow you to stay in the country for a maximum of 30 days with a visa validity period of 90 days. A multiple entry visa allows you to stay in the country for 90 days in every 180 days.

Invitation letter to Russia: for Tourist or Business Visa

Depends on the purpose of the visit. Faster and cheaper to get invitation letter (voucher) for Tourist Visa, but if purpose of your trip is participating in business meetings you need to get invitation letter for Business Visa.

The letter of invitation will be ready within 1 hour and we will be able to start processing the visa at the embassy in Jakarta via our visa agency departments in Bali and in Jakarta.

Rules for entry into Russia

In addition to popular Tourist and Business Visas to Russia, can obtain:

  • Private Visa: you must submit application to the embassy in person (foreigners do not need to have KITAS);
  • Working Visa: you need to provide a valid HIV certificate issued by a hospital in Indonesia;
  • Student Visa: you need to provide a valid HIV certificate issued by a hospital in Indonesia;
  • Transit Visa;
  • Humanitarian Visa: you must provide a letter of invitation from a scientific, cultural, educational, sports, religious or charitable organization;
  • Business Visa: Australian citizens must provide a detailed CV.

Invitations for some types of visas may be provided electronically; sometimes a formal original invitation is required.

Entry ban to Russia: “black list”

  • If you have exceeded the legal period of stay in the Russian Federation by more than 30 days, entry into the Russian Federation is not allowed for 3 years. From 180 to 270 days – 5 years. More than 270 days – 10 years;
  • If you have previously been deported from the Russian Federation, entry into the Russian Federation is not allowed for 5 years from the date of deportation.
