Tourists without a booster flying to Bali with a stopover in Jakarta are advised to do a PCR test in the country of departure. It will be much more convenient. If your flight to Bali is direct from overseas, then you do not need to be tested. PCR test is still not required to arrive in Indonesia.

This applies to trips between regions of Indonesia by any mode of transport.
