Which Visa to Choose
For short-term stays, Type A or B visas are sufficient. For long-term visits, Type C, D, or E visas are more suitable.
If you plan to stay in Indonesia for more than 6 months, a KITAS is a more cost-effective option. It is suitable for employees, remote workers, and families.
Some Type C and D visas can be converted into KITAS without leaving Indonesia, provided the sponsor meets immigration requirements. Otherwise, a visa run—a short trip to a neighboring country like Malaysia or Singapore—may be required for reapplication.
