Description

Indonesia Second Home Visa E33: Your 5-Year KITAS

Make Bali, Jakarta or another part of Indonesia your second home. The Indonesia Second Home Visa (E33) provides an eligible foreign national with a 5-year electronic Limited Stay Permit (e-ITAS / KITAS) and multiple re-entry permission (MREP) under the approved visa conditions. It is a long-term residence option for people who do not need ordinary local employment authorization.

PT Flado Indonesia Utama provides personalized assistance with the E33 application, document preparation, eligible family residence permits and post-arrival Proof of Funds reporting. We review your circumstances before asking you to proceed.

Why Choose the E33 Second Home Visa?

  • Long-term residence: plan your life in Indonesia with a 5-year KITAS.
  • Multiple re-entry: travel outside Indonesia and return while your permits remain valid.
  • Family residence options: apply for qualifying spouse, child or parent permits under the relevant E31 category.
  • Guided financial reporting: Flado can help you prepare and submit Proof of Funds and coordinate any subsequent immigration verification.

Important: E33 is not an Indonesian employment permit. Employment, business operations, property ownership and any future permanent residence application are subject to separate laws and eligibility requirements.

Who Can Apply? Documents and Financial Requirements

Eligibility depends on the current E33 immigration rules. We check your passport validity, personal details and supporting documents before filing. Common application materials include a passport, recent photograph, CV, travel information, evidence of living expenses where required and a signed financial commitment declaration.

For the 5-year E33, the financial commitment can be fulfilled through one of the following qualifying routes:

  • Funds in a state-owned Indonesian bank: at least USD 130,000 or its equivalent in an account held in the principal applicant’s own name at an eligible bank, such as Bank Mandiri, BNI, BRI or BTN, subject to the applicable rules.
  • Qualifying property: eligible ownership of an apartment or flat in Indonesia valued at at least USD 1,000,000 or equivalent, with acceptable ownership documents. A long-term villa lease or nominee arrangement does not automatically qualify.

The USD 130,000 is not a fee paid to Flado. It is the principal applicant’s financial commitment under the immigration conditions. The commitment must be fulfilled and reported within the deadline stated in the visa / ITAS requirements, generally 90 days, and maintained as required during the stay. Flado will confirm the relevant dates and evidence for your application.

How the E33 Visa Application Works

  1. Contact Flado. Tell us your nationality, intended arrival date, family members and whether you plan to use bank funds or qualifying property. We confirm eligibility and the document checklist before payment.
  2. Apply for your e-Visa. Flado reviews the documents and assists with the application. Our typical offshore processing estimate is 5–10 working days for a complete file, subject to immigration approval and any additional checks.
  3. Arrive and receive your e-ITAS. After the applicable entry formalities, your residence permit and re-entry permission are issued electronically in accordance with your visa conditions.
  4. Complete Proof of Funds reporting. Obtain an official bank statement (Rekening Koran), bank balance certificate or acceptable property evidence. Send Flado a clear photo or scan; we will prepare the online submission and guide you if immigration requires an in-person check of the original documents.

For a detailed explanation, real examples of the e-Visa and e-ITAS, and an anonymized sample of a Bank Mandiri Rekening Koran, see our complete E33 Second Home Visa and Proof of Funds guide.

Bring Your Family to Indonesia

Eligible dependents may apply for a residence permit based on the principal E33 holder’s status, subject to category-specific rules: E31B (spouse), E31E (child), E31H (parent) and E31J (certain qualifying minor family cases). These categories are not automatically available to every relative, and the granted permit period must be confirmed individually.

Supporting documents may include passports, marriage or birth certificates, evidence of the relationship and the principal applicant’s approved documents. Translations or legalization may be needed. Read our family KITAS guide for more information.
