Overview of the Current Immigration Hold Affecting Citizens of Sri Lanka, Sudan, Bangladesh, and Palestine — Updated 2026
Visa applications for Sri Lankan citizens and Sudanese citizens can now be submitted through Flado only via Priority process using our official application portal:

For Sri Lanka, previously submitted visa applications were released and issued after the earlier hold. Some Flado clients have already received eVisas.
For Sudan, from June 2026, Flado can also process visa applications only through Priority process with special pricing. Standard processing is not available for Sudanese passport holders.
Applications for Bangladesh and Palestine remain under practical immigration hold and are highly unlikely to be issued at this time.
As of 11 November 2025, the Directorate General of Immigration of Indonesia implemented a temporary immigration hold affecting visa applicants from four nationalities: Sri Lanka, Sudan, Bangladesh, and Palestine. This hold applies across visa categories processed through the centralized Indonesian electronic visa system, including applications submitted through licensed visa agencies such as Flado as well as applications submitted directly through Indonesian embassies abroad.
Under this hold, newly submitted and paid visa applications from affected nationalities may remain in verification status without progressing to the document review or approval stages. These applications are not always rejected; however, immigration authorities may pause processing until further notice. No estimated timeline for the resumption of normal processing is provided by immigration officials.
In addition to Sudan, immigration officers previously informed Flado that Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Palestine were also under practical immigration hold. Although not all of these restrictions were announced publicly, they were active within the visa processing system and applied to applications submitted from the relevant dates onward.
Current Status by Nationality
- Sri Lanka: applications accepted only via Priority process.
- Sudan: applications accepted only via Priority process from June 2026.
- Bangladesh: applications remain under practical hold.
- Palestine: applications remain under practical hold.
Sri Lanka and Sudan: Priority Visa Application Only
Visa applications for citizens of Sri Lanka and Sudan can be submitted through Flado only via Priority process. Standard processing is not available for these nationalities at this time.
Applications must be submitted through the official Flado application portal:
If a Sri Lankan or Sudanese applicant selects Standard process in the portal, the application may be automatically changed to Priority process. Applicants should continue only if they agree with Priority processing conditions and pricing.
Special Priority Prices for Sri Lanka and Sudan
- C1 Tourist Visa: 4,500,000 IDR
- D1 Multiple Entry Visa — 1 year: 7,500,000 IDR
- D1 Multiple Entry Visa — 2 years: 10,500,000 IDR
- D1 Multiple Entry Visa — 5 years: 16,500,000 IDR
These prices apply to Priority process only. Standard applications for Sri Lankan and Sudanese passport holders are not available under the current immigration processing conditions.
How to Apply for Sri Lanka or Sudan
- Go to the official Flado portal: https://app.flado.id
- Select the required visa type: C1 Tourist Visa or D1 Multiple Entry Visa
- Select or accept Priority process
- Upload the required documents
- Complete the payment inside the portal
After submission, Flado will process the application according to the current immigration conditions. If additional documents are required, our team will contact the applicant.
Please note that Flado can submit and support the application, but the final decision is always made by Indonesian immigration authorities.
Bangladesh and Palestine: Applications Remain Under Practical Hold (June 2026)
Applications for citizens of Bangladesh and Palestine remain under practical immigration hold. In most cases, visa applications from these nationalities are currently not issued.
This means:
- Application submission may be technically possible
- The application may be accepted or created in the system
- The application may remain in processing or verification status
- Approval is highly unlikely under the current conditions
- No clear final decision or timeline may be provided
- No refund is provided after submission/payment if the application remains pending
Applicants from Bangladesh and Palestine should not submit payment unless they fully understand and accept the risk that the visa may remain in processing status without approval, cancellation, or refund.
There is currently no confirmed date when this situation will change. When the situation changes, Flado will update this page and the application flow in the portal.
Previous Status for Sri Lankan Citizens During the Initial Hold
Flado’s internal records showed that the last successfully approved visa for a Sri Lankan citizen before the initial hold was issued on 30 October 2025. Submissions from Sri Lankan citizens starting from 10 November 2025 were stuck in verification status and were not processed further at that time.
At the initial stage of the hold, this meant:
- Applications were not rejected
- They remained in the verification queue
- Processing could resume only once immigration lifted or adjusted the hold
- No agency, including Flado, could accelerate or override this status
This situation was fully consistent with similar system-wide holds implemented by immigration authorities in previous years.
After the later immigration update, previously submitted visa applications for Sri Lankan citizens were released and issued. New Sri Lankan applications are now accepted only via Priority process.
Historical Holds for Sri Lanka — 2022 Case
Sri Lanka previously experienced a similar visa suspension in 2022. During that time, Indonesian immigration temporarily halted the processing of all visa applications from Sri Lankan citizens:

This earlier hold lasted approximately four months, from July to November 2022. It demonstrates that such restrictions, while disruptive, are often temporary and may be lifted or adjusted once immigration authorities assess that conditions have stabilised.
Sudan Hold — November 2025 to June 2026
Sudan was also affected by the practical immigration hold that started in November 2025. During this period, visa applications for Sudanese citizens could be submitted into the Indonesian eVisa system, but in practice they were not normally processed to approval.
From November 2025 until June 2026, Sudanese applications could remain in verification or processing status for an extended period without a clear final decision. As with other immigration holds, the application was not necessarily rejected, but the processing was effectively paused by immigration authorities.
During the Sudan hold period:
- Applications could be created in the Indonesian visa system
- Payment and submission did not guarantee document review or approval
- Applications could remain pending in verification or processing status
- No agency, including Flado, could accelerate or override the immigration hold
- No confirmed public timeline for normal processing was provided
From June 2026, the practical situation for Sudanese citizens changed. Flado can now assist Sudanese applicants under the same operational rule as Sri Lankan applicants: applications are accepted only via Priority process. Standard processing is not available for Sudanese passport holders at this time.
This means Sudan is no longer handled in the same practical category as Bangladesh and Palestine. Sudanese applicants may proceed through Flado’s official portal only if they agree to Priority process conditions and the special Priority prices listed above.
Important Notice About Immigration Decisions
Flado is a licensed visa agency and can assist with preparing, submitting, and monitoring visa applications. However, all final decisions are made exclusively by Indonesian immigration authorities. Flado cannot guarantee approval, cannot override immigration restrictions, and cannot force an application to be approved while it is under immigration hold or additional review.
For Sri Lanka and Sudan, Flado can currently assist only via Priority process. For Bangladesh and Palestine, applications remain under practical hold and are highly unlikely to be issued at this time.
